bombay needs more cows

took it easy for a few days in delhi. wandered up and down pahar ganj looking for tiger cow. where are you tiger cow?!?!?!? went to the beautiful humayun's tomb and spent a good deal of time chasing parrots and weird birds around with my camera. sat on the steps of jama masjid during friday afternoon prayer watching a sea of men in whie kurtas, keffiyahs and prayer caps streaming up the steps while the azan blasted at full power over it all. a blue budgie got picked out of sky by a hawk and flew into the crowd.

after o so many delhi-ghts i had to make the 24 hour train ride to bombay to meet federico. and that's where this finds me.

i don't really know what to say about anything right now.

india is still india. but different.
i'm still me. but different.

namaste

that was one of the worst leavings i've ever done. never have i felt so panicked, disorganised, unsuccessful and lonely. and yet, sitting on my pack in the new delhi railway station at 4:30 in the morning, waiting for first light, i was feeling fine and calm. i smell india all around me and i REMEMBER this place. i'm ready for train tickets, pahar ganj, nasty thalis, illness and never-ending journeys.

bye-bye, canada. hello india.

namaste!
